Northbound: Shared pavement access. Obstructed by:
- Eastern Ave Bus Stop, which the cyclist must pass behind, through crowds at busy times;
- Lay by with very rough surafce where the cyclist should briefly leave the pavement before remounting after a short distance;
- Ambulance station car par entrance;
- Ambulance Station;
- Langstone Road.
Traffic on the road has priority over all of these (except the Ambulance station), cyclists on the pavement must give way.
Southbound: Shared pavement access – very poor surface and crossed by kerbstones at oblique angles. Pavement constrained by vegetation at Eastern Ave junction where the cyclist must give way to left turning traffic approaching from behind. As on the other side the path is obstructed by Eastern Ave bus stop and usually blocked by illegally parked cars on football match days. The cycle path just ends at the Junction with Moorings way and Velder Ave with no signage or safe way to rejoin the carriageway.
