Northbound: Shared access pavement cycle path just ends with no indication at all about what the cyclist should do next.
Southbound: No signage for cyclists entering the cycle path or warnings for motor traffic.

Northbound: Narrow, shared access, severely constrained by Fitzherbert Rd Bus Stop.
Southbound: Shared access pavement CP constrained by vegetation and signs. Too narrow. There appears to be a largely redundant RH filter lane in the road which could be sacrificed to make better space for cyclists.

Northbound: Very narrow shared access path approaching junction, inadequate for bidirectional cyclists & pedestrians. The path for cyclists to across the junction is not obvious. The cyclist must assume that they should now cross to the western side of the Eastern Rd as a CP now starts on that side (the left hand side). Doing [...]

Narrow, bus stop is hazard, no access to Grove Rd & industrial estate.

Narrow, shared use path further constrained by placement of signs. Traffic noise makes it very difficult to alert pedestrians of cyclist’s approach.

Northbound: The cycle path crosses the entrance of the garage as cars accelerate out to rejoin the carriageway. There appears to be no indication to cars that they should give way to cyclists or vice versa. The entrance slip road to the garage indicates that cyclists should give way to traffic entering.
Southbound: The issue is [...]

Very narrow two way shared use path.

Northbound: Crossing this junction to proceed to the Northern section of the Eastern Rd is tortuous – it involves the use of 4 traffic light controlled crossings and takes approximately 120 seconds.
Southbound: Same issues apply. Access to Farlington Marshes CP is even less clear here – Are cyclists supposed to ride over the rapidly eroding [...]

Northbound: Path very narrow as it approaches RAB, lamp-posts encroaching on path. No direction signage for cyclists. No warning signs for cars entering/leaving Farlington Marshes car park. No clues as to the existence of the marshes cycle path. Low headroom for tall cyclists entering car park.
Southbound: Same issue but lamp-posts more hazardous in this direction.

Narrow shared access path very close to fast traffic. Dangerous for 2-way cycling. When a kerbside barrier starts near the junction it is low and hard to spot meaning it is a hazard in itself. This part is particularly hazardous for wide bikes – e.g. those pulling child trailers.
